For the Payload setting. The Gwaihir is the prototype model of the Kara Altin series, an ultra light aerospace superiority U-ACE. Built by Rigel Cortek, it was meant to be the next gen weapon for the Visandian Corporate Authority. During a combat operation, one of the prototypes was destroyed by enemy forces while the other vanished under the control of its pilot. Its current whereabouts are unknown.
As a dual platform, the Gwaihir had the ability to shift between its humanoid combat mode and a more nimble aerospace fighter mode. It was equipped with a rapid firing pulse cannon, high yield rocket and missile pods and an oscillating plasma knife docked within its sturdy shield.
The pilot was encased in a "dragonfly" cockpit, which used multiple cameras located across the mech to create a 360 degree projection of the outside environment. A neural link within the pilot's helmet interfaced with the U-ACE physical systems for more natural movement. In addition, it was monitored by a virtual assistant intelligence to relay and regulate the performance of the Gwaihir's robust power core.
